What is wholesale?
Wholesale is selling products in large quantities at low prices to stores and businesses that then sell them to the public.
Wholesale price refers to the price at which products are sold to stores by wholesalers. It differs from the price which the customer usually pays in the store.
Unlike retailers, wholesalers don’t sell small quantities of items, they sell products in bulk at a low price. The more products you buy from a wholesaler, the less per item you end up having to pay.
Differences between retail and wholesale:
- Retailers sell products directly to customers. Wholesalers sell goods to store owners and others in the retail industry.
- Wholesalers sell a large number of products at a time, while retailers usually sell items in small quantities.
- Wholesalers usually deal with limited products, and retailers often handle many different items at one time.
