You are about to enter the real world of homebuilding. The CassuTT™ is easy to build but it is not a pre punched everything is supplied for you Van’s Quick Build kit. Over 600 of the older Cassutt’s have been flown some are award winning racers and some a cobbled together goofy flyers. It is up to you the builder to choose your path of building. You can get CassuTT™ prebuilt components like fuselages and wings and premade cowlings and landing gear or you can build it all yourself. Let me recommend that if you want to fly before you are too old to fly then buy a cowling already made. Buy Robby Grove landing gear already made. You can learn to weld it's not that hard. If you don’t want to then you can learn. A formula one racer or the new CassuTT™ should not take more then several years to build, there is just not a lot of airplane to construct.
A CassuTT™ is simple, keep it that way. If you want it to do 1500 non-stop cross country like a Lancair 4 will do then build a Lancair.Keep it simple and light. You do not need an Auto Pilot and a heated pitot tube to go with your glass panel. You are best to not even put an electrical system in it. Keep it simple.
