Here's where you can get some support from me. Most of the cases that come my way after nearly 30 years in natural medicine are complex ones and my skill is in seeing the big picture and how things might all fit together! Over the past 6 months of taking patient cases again, I have listened to what you say you need and noted how much work/time it is taking me to provide it for you! Here are the options I've come up with to best help you and to ensure I have enough time to properly serve you with safe, practical and effective help. For all services, you can pay on this site first and then book a slot in my diary here. I will then confirm your appointment etc and lead you through the process. Please note that I can do your test reports, protocols and case reviews very quickly most of the time, but there may be a delay of up to 2-3 weeks if I have a lot come in at once. I am not going to rush it as I want to get it right for you. For physical face to face appointments, I work from home by the sea in Looe, Cornwall.
If you don't know me and want to make sure I am normal and don't have two heads or something, you'll want an Initial Chat. We can do that by phone, face to face or Skype/video. This is so we can have a good chat about your current situation and establish if I am likely to be able to help or not. I'll try to give you my initial thoughts and the most obvious place to start, and that might be all you need! I usually can help, but if it's a field I know someone else is better in, I'll refer you or suggest you find someone else. I only take cases on if I'm pretty darn certain I will be able to help or we can at least move you forward together. Do bear in mind, though, that complex cases do not shift easily and are generally multi-factorial necessitating a complex, multi-factorial approach (you'll know this already!), so you have to be prepared to work at it for long enough if you start.
You can also use the Initial Chat if you're confused about which tests to have/where to start with stuff.
To start the clinical process, you need to book a New Case Review. Many people send me chapter and verse about their history, several test results and lots of questions about them, asking for a way forward! That's fine and I'm more than happy to help, but it takes a lot of time to really analyse a case properly and be able to give you my thoughts on it. A Case Review involves me sending you some forms to complete, emailing me your test results etc and a chat to discuss your case to date. I also like a written timeline of what's happened when if possible so I can refer to it when putting the jigsaw together. I will then diarise some time to review it all and come back to you either via a call/video chat or by email with my thoughts and a suggested protocol if that would be useful for you. This takes about 4-5 hours, often more. It is a stand-alone service; there is no obligation on you or me to continue with a treatment programme unless we decide to work together. Often, people do it purely to help move themselves forward when they're stuck and trying to find what's been missed!
If we decide to work together on an ongoing basis, after that we will conduct a Review every 3-6 weeks, depending on your needs/case. We will go through any test results, re-score your symptoms, discuss progress and tweak your protocol as necessary.
If you've had some tests done through me (or someone else) and all you need is someone to give their thoughts on them, you can book a Test Report/Chat. Max 3 results please. Once paid-for, send me an email and attach the results and a bit of background about why you tested, what you were looking for and a brief bit of case history so I can put them into context. If I need more info, don't worry; I'll ask. I will then email my thoughts to you and/or book a chat to go through them with you - whichever you prefer.
Does what it says on the tin. This is if you need me to work out a specific protocol for you based on some test results or discussions we've had. To do this, I'll need to send you some forms so I have anything else you are taking meds- or supplements-wise.
I'm a generalist at heart so I like dealing with lots of different things. I do an awful lot of adrenal, thyroid, allergy, fatigue and gut work, but have interests in lots of areas. My specialist areas are currently gluten related disorders, multiple sensitivity, hypersensitivity disorders and ACE/trauma-triggered illness.
I charge out at £95 per hour which is less than half what colleagues with the same experience charge. My prices are based genuinely on the time each service takes me - I'm not going to do it if I can't do it right! I'd like to be free on the NHS, but stopped holding my breath a long time ago! Please bear in mind generally in functional medicine there are likely to be extra costs for lab testing, if we decide together it's wise to get more info, and for supplements. I prefer face to face (ie physically or video) for patient work wherever possible as I get tons more information that way somehow.
I look forward to helping you. Check the reviews out below if you need more reassurance and you can email me at email@example.com if you have more questions.
Hints & Tips
Q: What happens once I've ordered a video or phone call?
A: Book yourself a slot here on my booking system. I will confirm your appointment and then send you an email with details. Please connect with me on Skype before your appointment: my address is purehealthclinic. If you can't do Skype, we will use my practice system portal instead. If by phone, call me at your allotted time. I'll confirm which number to call me on as it depends which end of the country I'm in! Just so you know, I prefer to consult by video if poss; I get more info somehow!
Does it help?
Check the testimonials page on the main clinic site, but here are a few comments for you to start you off. They seem to think so :)
Thank you so much. The report is far beyond my expectations. So much interesting and relevant information. The proposed explanations really resonate with my particular experience....This has given me a big boost. (re Case Review).
I was bit apprehensive as I have not had phone/skype call like this before but Micki was very easy to talk to. Lots of good common sense information backed with research. I concluded with realist plan of action, Including not getting overwhelmed by lots of reading Ha Ha!. This is a great service that I would highly recommend. Many Thanks!
Really friendly and easy to talk to but also gave me confidence because of her clear, deep knowledge of the underlying issues. Generous with time and suggestions for further action. Extremely helpful.
I wish I had done this several years ago. Your service really helps so thank you so much.
It's been such a relief to discuss my health status with someone that experienced. 10 minutes in and I could already tell how experienced and knowledgable Micki is about this stuff. So much actionable stuff to work on after our call - finally I know where to start, YAY!
I couldn't have asked for more, Micki had read over my various tests before our call and was able to give me clear and understandable advice based on the tests, symptoms and previous history.
This was extremely informative. For once I seem to have an understanding of what is causing all my problems. Her explanation of NCGS matches exactly what has been happening to me and she then guided me towards how to test for this, and how to go about improving it. Very, very useful.
I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated your time and Input yesterday. It all made a lot of sense. …So much to think on and read but very, very interesting and important. I feel so relieved to have found a kindred spirit. Thank you
Thank you, you've given me more help in 15 minutes than my doctors have for years!
Apart from the masses of extremely helpful information and advice you gave me, I was also given hope and encouragement by your obvious success in dealing with your own dietary issues.
I just wanted to say that it's been a pleasure working with you and I'm very grateful for all the help you've given me with my problems.
Thank you, this is exactly what I needed to hear.
Also (!) I just wanted to say THANK YOU, I've had a terrible experience with my GP(s). You provide a vital service, a lot of people would be very ill without your help, you can't be praised highly enough!
Thank you so much, that's really helpful and makes a lot of sense. I didn't know where to start.
Thanks so much for your generous time today. Was very helpful. I'm so grateful.
