Roasted in the style of Wuyi Dahongpao, large, wiry leaves from the new Golden Guanyin varietal (a Yellow Gold and Tieguanyin hybrid) are meticulously rolled to prevent breaking, then partially oxidized and dark roasted. The resulting aromas of papaya and tropical fruit give way to cooked butterscotch flavors suspended in the complex, deeply rich body prized in Wuyi teas.
