for Peace and Reconciliation
Coventry’s willingness to set the past aside after the second world war and hold out the hand of friendship has given it an international reputation as a City of Peace and Reconciliation.
Coventry City Centre Peace Trail provides a handy guided walking tour containing maps which will lead you to 30 sites associated with peace conveniently located within the city centre and describes each of them.
The trail is supported by a website that includes interactive maps to help you find your way to the next location.
The booklet also contains lists of web links to further information and of peace locations located outside Coventry city centre.

The Lord Mayor’s Committee for Peace and Reconciliation consists of about 20 peace activists who work to promote the city’s agenda as a city of peace and reconciliation both within Coventry and more widely.
It is a representative committee and includes people from a variety of organisations in the city who support its aims.
Included in our activities are the annual Lord Mayor's Peace Lecture, a commemoration of Hiroshima Day, publishing books and websites and a wide range of other activities to promote or aims.
