How do I set up my Instagram store?
An approval from Instagram is required to sell on the platform. Once approved, you can create an Instagram store and upload your Ecwid product catalog. When your products are added, you can tag them in your posts — and create ads.
Is my Ecwid store synced with Instagram?
Once you connect your Ecwid store to Instagram, your products will automatically sync with Instagram Shop. This keeps your product catalog up to date without any extra work.
How do my customers checkout on Instagram?
When a customer adds products to their cart on Instagram and proceeds to checkout, your store's checkout page will open within the Instagram app, pre-filled with their selected items. Purchases are completed using your existing payment methods, shipping options, tax settings, and branding.
How do I create shoppable posts?
After adding your caption and editing your new post, story, or reel, you'll find an option to tag products. Click it, select the product(s) within the post that you wish to tag, enter the product details, click done, and proceed to share your post.
How do I create Instagram ads?
You can create Instagram ads by boosting your posts, reels and stories from your account. Or, you can create ad campaigns in the Meta Ads manager or through Kliken. Learn more.
What requirements do I need to sell on Instagram?
To sell on Instagram, your products must meet the product requirements for selling on Meta (since Instagram is the part of the Meta ecosystem). Your catalog needs to be eligible according to Facebook's Commerce Policy and comply with the merchant agreement.

When a customer wants to buy something from Instagram, they select a product and then tap ”View on Website.” After that, they are taken to the online store on your website to complete their purchase.
Since the purchase happens in your Ecwid store, all checkout-related settings you set up in your Ecwid admin are available for shoppers.

How do I upload my product catalog to Instagram?
You first need to sync your Ecwid products to a catalog on Facebook by Meta since Meta uses Facebook catalog across all its platforms.
Once your products appear in the Facebook catalog, it’s possible to promote them either from your Instagram account or Meta Ads Manager.
How do I create a link-in-bio to add to my Instagram?
To create a link-in-bio tool, you have to create it on Ecwid, and then link it to your Instagram bio. It can be found under link in bio in your Ecwid admin.
You can personalize the look of your link-in-bio tool, add as many products and content links as you’d like, and analyze how each link is performing.
