How to add a custom JavaScript code to your store page:

If you embed Ecwid manually, by copying and pasting the code from the Dashboard page of your Ecwid control panel to the HTML source of your page, then the custom JS code needs to be inserted likewise into the HTML source code of that same page after the Ecwid integration codes.

When you use a plugin to embed Ecwid into Joomla, the store page is created automatically by our Joomla plugin and you cannot edit the source code of the page. It is still possible to add custom HTML/JS codes on any page though - you will need to put the custom code into a new 'Custom HTML' module in your Joomla and then publish that module in any position on the shop page or even on all pages of the site (it will not harm anything). This way the custom code will get into the shop page source code and the custom functionality will work. This article could be useful: http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/51601760/...%20in%20Joomla

If you use Wordpress, the custom code should be placed in the HTML code of Wordpress page where your Ecwid store is installed. To do it, open the store page under the 'Pages' management section in your WP admin backend, switch your editor to HTML mode (a gray tab on the top right of editable area) and paste the custom code at the end of the existing page code.

Major bug when implemented on my site, check out what happens to the top right of the site...I'm using Chrome.

The review form also appears in the footer area of my site...

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the report. That is indeed a bug - we will fix it soon.

Meanwhile, you can simply overcome it - just specify the reviews widget place on your store page explicitly using the 'elmParentSelector' option in the widget initialization code. In your case , the code will be as follows:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="//ecwid-static.s3.amazonaws.com/widgets/EcwidYotpoWidgets.js"></script>
<script>
EcwidYotpoWidgets.load({
  yotpoAppKey: 'your api key goes here',
  reviews: {
    elmParentSelector: "div#my-products.ecwid"
  }
});
</script>
That should prevent duplication of the review form. Please let us know the results.

UPDATE: the bug mentioned here is fixed. There is no need to add the extra code above.

There is a bug when you integrate the social features (Facebook) in yotpo.

If I publish a review to facebook, yotpo will automatically add the following to the product URL on the facebook post. This however leads to a 'Sorry the page you requested does not exist' in Ecwid...

?utm_campaign=social_push&utm_medium=facebook&utm_ source=yotpo

Also,

Is there any way to have the Star ratings integrated on product listings pages?

Thank you.

We're aware of this problem - we reported it to Yotpo engineers already. Hopefully, they'll fix it soon.

UPDATE: Yotpo engineers have informed us that the issue is fixed. FB reviews sharing should work OK now.

Matvey,

Is there any way to have the Star ratings integrated on product listings pages?

Also, I noticed when a product has no reviews, the star rating text under the product title disappears? Is there anyway we can have this showing to encourage users to write a review?

Thanks,
ike

It is not possible in the current version of our integration, but it's definitely a great idea! We've added it to our TODO list and will implement in the future versions. Thank you.

It's possible to place a default text in the bottom line widget (star rating widget), which will appear when a products has no reviews. More details:
http://support.yotpo.com/entries/257...-zero-reviews-

The link above mentions the "data-texts-firstreview" parameter, which is to be added to the widget configuration. You can use the 'advanced' block of widget settings for that. Please find the details here:
http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/68488114/...zeYotpowidgets

You can find an example of setting the default text in this code (please see the last code snippet at the bottom of the file):
