Hi there! Thanks for reaching us out. My name is Grace, Ecwid Team. I'll be happy to help you.

I've checked your website and I see that the "Your email address" title is overlaid by the theme of your website. So, it means that there is a title, but it is hidden by your website theme. If I disable the rule created by your theme, it will appear. Please refer to the screenshot to see it: https://ecwid.d.pr/qfzi1v. So, I've prepared a CSS code for you which will help you to change the colour of "Your email address" title to the white and it will be displayed properly. You need only to paste the code to your Ecwid settings.

To add a CSS code, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to your Ecwid Control Panel > Design > Edit Theme.

2. Paste the code in the “New theme 2” theme:

HTML Code:
/* Change "Your email address" title color */
div.form-control__placeholder-inner {color: white !important;}
3. Make sure that this theme is activated in “Status section”.

4. Save the changes.

Once you make it you will be able to add a CSS code in your Ecwid settings, that will help to change the color of "Your email address" title at the checkout. So, it will look like that:

Hope it helps you. Feel free to ask further questions. I’m here to assist you!

Hi!

This is Ally from Ecwid team.

I checked your store, and see that the text in the placeholder is set to white in your website CSS theme. As I deactivate the Ecwid's theme, the email checkout page still looks the same, and this is the only custom change applied from Ecwid. If you still want to use the code, you can make it more specific to avoid other components being affected by it. Just replace it with this one:

HTML Code:
.ec-cart-email div.form-control__placeholder-inner {
color: white;
}
If you need to apply any further design changes, it's best to do that from your website CSS theme. If you still see the issue, please, provide some screenshots of the components affected - we will try to help you fix that.

Also, please feel free to join us in Live Chat here: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/requests/new or at support@ecwid.com.

I’m talking about the dropdown menue, not the email field anymore. Now the dropdown menus (text and background) are white and cannot read anything only when the mouse is on hover. Please tell me how to changes the text of the dropdown menue only text color to black, just the dropdown.

Hi Jason,

This is Andrew from Ecwid Team. I have inspected your store and haven't found troublesome drop-downs.

Here is the video I have recorded: https://ecwid.d.pr/Aojk5P

Can you please send the link to the page where I can see the issue.

By the way, while inspecting your website I have noticed that the text on social buttons is not visible:https://ecwid.d.pr/c2qmh5

I have composed the code that will fix it, please add it to the custom theme of your store:

HTML Code:
html#ecwid_html body#ecwid_body .ec-size .ec-store .ec-likely__button {
color: black; }
The result: https://ecwid.d.pr/aOdMVt

Please let us know if you have any questions and send the link to the page with this drop-down menu.

Hi there I fixed the social media but indeed there is a problem with my dropdown menus across in my shop. It works in some browsers like Mozilla, however when I go to Microsoft Edge Browser it shows me this.

Please help me fix this so I have it showing properly across all browsers to give my customers an easier shopping experience.

Thanks,
Jason

Hello, Jason!

This is April, Ecwid Customer Care Team. Thanks for your post!

Indeed, I've checked it and managed to reproduce the issue in Microsoft Edge Browser only. I've also checked it and saw that your CSS theme doesn't affect it in any way.

Jason, I've asked our Developers about this, and they told be that all the drop-downs for Ecwid stores are generated by web browsers and they cannot be affected on our end at all.

So please, contact a web master on this matter, probably they will help you to fix that issue on your website editor's end if it's possible.

Thank you!
