Default dual payments?

I'm planning on upgrading to the venture plan. IS there any way to have product A collect to payment X and product B to payment Y? For example two paypals.

This is April, Ecwid Customer Care Team. Thanks for your post!

Basically, the payment methods you set up in your Ecwid Admin > Payment are applied globally to your catalog. They work for all the products added in your catalog. There is no way to decide what products should be processed by one payment method and what products should be processed by a different payment method.

Moreover, there is no option to connect 2 different PayPal accounts within the same Ecwid account. Even if we could give you such a possibility and you could offer 2 PayPal payment methods on checkout (with different PayPal accounts connected), the final decision on what payment method to choose on checkout is always on your customers. So this won't solve your issue.

Basically, it could be solved in case if Ecwid itself could process the payments in your Ecwid store. In this case, it might be possible to split the money for the order between different payment accounts (theoretically). Yet, Ecwid is not a payment processor (like PayPal). Ecwid itself doesn't deal with your customers money, we do not collect the information about the customer credit cards intentionally due to the security reasons. We are using the integrations with the 3rd-party payment gateways who are certified to process the transactions. Ecwid is PCI DSS validated Level 1 Service Provider which is the highest international standard for secure data exchanges for online stores and payment systems.

So, since PayPal is the service who processes the payments in your store, you need to manage all the payment transfers directly in your payment processor's account.

Alternatively, you can do the following:

1) Create a new Ecwid account. As a result, you'll have 2 Ecwid accounts for different types of products.
2) Connect PayPal account A to Ecwid account A.
3) Connect PayPal account B to Ecwid account B.
4) As a result, you will process one store's payments via PayPal account A, and another's one via PayPal account B.

Hope this helps!
