Change text field font or color

https://balthazargracien.wixsite.com/trees/online-store

I would like to change either the color of the text in my checkout and cart text fields or the color of the text field itself. As shown in the photo at link below, both are quite dark and it is difficult to read the text.

Thanks in advance!

Hello!

This is Wendy from Ecwid team, thanks a lot for getting in touch with us!

You can change the color of the text in your cart text field with the help of the following CSS code:

Code:
#ec-cart-email-input {
    color: white
}

.form-control__placeholder-inner {
    color: white
}
Feel free to replace white with any other color at your choice. Here you will find the color codes for CSS: https://www.color-hex.com/

In order to apply the code, you should copy it and paste to your Ecwid control panel > Design page > Edit theme > add the new code below existing ones.

When I checked your custom CSS theme, I noticed the code with the missing '}' symbol. You should add } to the very end of your CSS theme, otherwise this mistake would prevent the other codes from applying. See my screenshot:

Also, there is no "Checkout' button in the shopping cart page at the moment. It doesn't display, as long as you do not have any enabled payment methods in your store. You should set up at least one payment method using this instruction: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/a...9-Getting-paid

I hope this will help. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

Thanks so much Wendy!

This has worked perfectly for the email input on my cart page, but what about the item quantity field on both the product page and the cart? Is there a way to change these to white too?

I note that on the product page the initial text in the field is white, but as soon as I change the quantity the text reverts to black.

You might also note that my hovering shopping cart logo is quite dark now for some reason - it used to be white but I'm not sure why it has changed color. It would be good to change this also. Thanks in advance!

Hello!

This is Una from Ecwid Customer Care team. Thank you for reaching out. I’m here to help!

I see what you mean. I picked up a CSS code that will change the color of the text in the quantity field on the product and shopping bag pages and of the shopping cart icon. Please add this code to your active CSS theme and save the changes:

Code:
.ec-size .ec-store .form-control__text, .ec-size .ec-store .form-control__textarea {color: white;}

.ec-minicart.ec-minicart--m.ec-minicart--fixed.ec-minicart--bottom.ec-minicart--right.ec-minicart--rect.ec-minicart--animation-default.ec-minicart--animated {background-color: white;}

.ec-minicart .ec-minicart__counter::after {background-color: grey;}

.ec-minicart .ec-minicart__counter {color: white;}
I have tested the code in Chrome Dev Tools and here is the result:

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us via this form: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/requests/new#contact We will be happy to assist.

That's perfect, thank you!

What about the shopping cart icon? Is there a way to change the color of this? It remains dark green with black text.

You can change the color of the shopping cart icon to white with help of this CSS code (feel free to specify another color in the CSS instead of white):

Code:
.ec-minicart.ec-minicart--rect {
    background-color: white;
}

.ec-minicart.ec-minicart--rect:hover {
    background-color: white;
}
You can add this CSS code to the end of your custom store theme in Ecwid control panel > Design > Edit Theme page. Before that please make sure to remove an extra } at the end of your active theme (screenshot) for the new CSS code to work.

I'm not sure what I am doing but I cannot seem to get the floating shopping cart icon to change to white or an alternative color. It remains dark green with black font and is hard to see. Help!

Hello there,

This is Valerie from Ecwid Customer Care team.

As I see you'd like to change the Shopping Bag icon color. I've checked your website https://balthazargracien.wixsite.com/trees/online-store and see that it's not published yet (screenshot). Could you please publish your site and inform us so that we could give you a solution on how to change the Shopping Bag icon color for your website?

Thanks in advance.
