Question

Address options for pick-up

How can I make address fields disabled or at least optional (address line 1) for certain delivery methods (pick-up) for not to make a customer enter unnecessary information? Thanks.

even for pick ups. The address is pretty handy...

1) follow up sales call
2) future promotions etc

That it is... But e-mail is normally quite enough for promotions. Entering address when it is obviously not necessary may make customers disturbed and suspicious. That is my point for stating this question.

Do you mean the billing address? Unfortunately, there is no way to make some some fields in it optional(like Country, City, Address Line 1) - - if they are not filled in, the delivery form is considered incomplete and is not accepted by the store. With such setup your customer will not be able to complete the checkout, which is of course not what you aim for.
Please, refer to this thread for explanation why billing address is necessary: http://www.ecwid.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8582

Thanks for your reply!
Actually I meant shipping address, since if a customer chooses pick-up method there will be no delivery, hence no need to enter shipping address.
I guess this option is not available either.
