As far as I understand, you're interested in setting up donations in your Ecwid store. Generally, Ecwid can be used to sell products for a set price so your customers are charged with this price and it can't be automatically divided into the actual product price and the price for donations, sorry about that.
If you set up the product price as an attribute, although it won't sum up to the actual product price, it can be used for informing your customers that the X amount included in this price is dedicated for charity.

In case you want the donation value to be taken into account on the checkout, the solution with adding
a product option with price modifiers is the only way of setting it that way.
