Our two online stores with ecwid eCommence: Feedback appreciated

We have up and running two shops that were made thanks to Wix and Ecwid. Would really love to hear some of your feedback to see how we could improve following shopping experience for our consumers.

Our shop links are:

Many thanks in advance!

Hello Paul,

Alexandra with Ecwid team here, thank you for reaching us out! I do apologize for the delayed reply though.

I've taken a look at your websites and got a few suggestions, so if you don't mind, please see them below.

First of all, I would like to note that we enabled the option called Interactive load, thus your store scripts start loading almost at the same time with other elements on your website. As a result, the loading speed gets better.

Interactive load is enabled by default for accounts registered recently, but since yours were registered a while ago, we had to enable the option manually for them with the help of our internal tools.

In regards of improving customers experience, I'd like to suggest a few minor design changes. Not much, but at least something to start with.

I've noticed that each of your websites has their own color theme goes with red, while mostly has blue colors. Have you considered changing some of the storefront colors?

Let's take You may consider changing the "In Stock" label color so it would match the background (as well as the price). It may look like this:

In your Ecwid Control Panel go to Settings – Design, copy and paste the code below into your active CSS theme and save the changes.

div.ecwid-productBrowser-details-inStockLabel {
    color: #0d5993;

div.ecwid-productBrowser-price {
	color: #0d5993;
The color property #0d5993 can be replaced with any other color you like.

If you'd like to learn more on how to change Ecwid design with the help of CSS, please check out our guide on Ecwid + CSS.

I'd also recommend you to check the images in the grid view. Let's see the category called "Brass Plates". If we take the nameplates at the very end of the category, the images seem to be identical in size — which actually makes them look pretty accurate on the storefront.

But if we compare the size of pictures above, there is a difference:

Of course, it doesn't affect the store functionality, but it might have an impact on customers' experience just a bit; design often plays a key role as the more appealing your product/service looks, the more attention you get from your customers.

In Ecwid, when you upload pictures to your products, the thumbnails get re-sized automatically the following way: the height-to-width aspect ratio stays the same as the original image; and the image itself adjusts into the settings in your Ecwid Control Panel – Settings – Design – Appearance.

I'd also recommend you to check out the following articles below on how to optimize product images for web:

Hopefully it helps. Paul, if you have any further questions, please let me know.
