vertical category links don't work on one of several pages

What can cause a situation where, when vertical categories are a widget in a theme sidebar, the category links open up the store on all pages except the home page? Nothing happens when I click the category links from the home page. That's the problem I am having. Can anybody help me with this?

Strangely enough, the address bar shows the correct address....the same one it goes to when I'm on another page. The only thing is, the category window doesn't pop up when I click on a category from the home page. The category window does pop up with the same address in the address bar on all other pages in the site.

Could you, please, give me the link to your site?

I have checked your store and found out that category menu links are woking properly, but do not redirect to the store page. This is happens because of the following code:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
var ecwid_ProductBrowserURL = "http://urbanhydrogardens.com/";
</script>
on the home page of your site.

Originally, ecwid_ProductBrowserURL variable should contain the link to the page, where Ecwid is installed. In your case - http://urbanhydrogardens.com/store/ . Please, refer to this article for details: http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/15853260/...ductBrowserURL

Once you change this code on the homepage for your store, categories menu will work as expected.

I put the following on the home page:

<script type="text/javascript">
var ecwid_ProductBrowserURL = "http://urbanhydrogardens.com/store/";
</script>

and it still doesn't work. Did I do this wrong?

<script>
var ecwid_ProductBrowserURL = "http://urbanhydrogardens.com/store/.html";
</script>

This is pasted from my home page. It would appear that there is another possibility other than what you have told me above, because I followed your advice, and that of the article to a tee, and I still have the same problem. Can you please help me to understand why this isn't working?

<script>
var ecwid_ProductBrowserURL = "http://urbanhydrogardens.com/store.html";
</script>

I thought taking the slash out after store might be the answer but it still doesn't work. Please help.

There are a couple of things I can't understand about this. 1. It works every once in a while. 2. It works fine from all the other pages, and they have no extra scripts or code in them regarding the ecwid shopping cart. Any insight anyone might add will be greatly appreciated.

I have checked your site and as far as I can see you are using our plugin for Wordpress. This plugin when installed correctly should automatically redirect you to the store page when you click any widget. The plugin basically already knows where the store page is and inserts the correct ecwid_ProductBrowserURL value, so you don't have to.

Most probably, the settings of the plugin are corrupted, that caused this unusual behaviour. Please, make sure that your plugin is set up according to these settings: http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/15853324/...atshouldIdonow

I am running 2 sites using the same store. When I go to the ecwid options page mentioned in the article on the one that is working properly, then the page show's a field for ecwid_store_page_id http://urban-hydro-gardens.com/wp-admin/options.php. The other one does not show such a field in the options page http://urbanhydrogardens.com/wp-admin/options.php. What can I do to fix this?

Are you using WP Multisite?
