Question

Custom basket button (not Ecwid's)

Hi, I'm just starting to develop a website for a client and I was wondering if there's a way to add a link to open the current basket.

I've added random items to the store, and I'm able to add them to the basket, but I don't want to have the standard ecwid's basket counter, all I need is a way to open the current basket by clicking in this button:

Store link (under construction):
strongmanvape.webflow.io

Please let me know
p.s: can someone post a link of all the elements I can change on the store's CSS design page? Cheers!

Hi,

It’s Daria from Ecwid Customer Care team.

Thanks for the link to the website! I've checked it and see that you already added this custom basket button to your website menu.

To make this button open the store cart page, link it to the cart page URL: https://strongmanvape.webflow.io/#!/~/cart As I see, you are using Webflow. I've found the instructions on how to link a button to an URL in their Help Center here: https://university.webflow.com/article/button

There is no such list. Basically, you can change the design of nearly all elements in your store using CSS codes. You can see a detailed guide on how to change the design in Ecwid here: https://www.ecwid.com/blog/a-compreh...re-design.html

If you have any other questions, feel free to write back. We are always glad to help.

Hi Daria,

Thank you so much
That link worked perfectly, it was exactly what I needed.

In that case, are you able to help me once more?
I've been working with the CSS Themes trying to reduce the old basket to a simple counter, so I can (possibly) include it in the button.

Basically, all I need is to remove the whole background, margins and leave only the basket counter inside the code.

Best regards,
Igor

Hi Daria,

I've managed to find a solution, jumping between tabs and inspecting the specific tags, I was able to remove the whole basket around, and leave only the counter.

Code:
/*changing bag into counter only*/
div.ecwid-minicart-counter {
  left: 0px;
  top: -5px;
  width: 4px;
  color: #FF0000;
  z-index: 1000
}

/*changes cart height and width*/
.ecwid-minicart  {
    border-radius: 0px !important;
    width: 15px !important;
    height: 20px !important;
    background: transparent !important;
    border: transparent !important;
}

div.ecwid-minicart-caption,
span.ecwid-minicart-label-text,
div.ecwid-minicart-link,
div.ecwid-minicart-clickArea {
display: none;
}
I'll leave it here for reference if anybody else asks the same thing in the future

Thanks for the help with everything

Warmest regards,
Igor
