get rid of subcategory icons?

I am using the vertical categories to navigate my store. Is there a way to make it so that when you enter a category, you don't see all the subcategory icons, but you do still see all the subcategory items? I want to make it so the customer doesn't have to scroll down to search through all the items, and so they won't see the subcategories twice (once in the navigation column, and once as icons).

Thanks!
Eileen

Code:
.ecwid-productBrowser-subcategories-mainTable .ecwid-noimage {
    display: none;
}
This should work if you have no subcategory images...

great, thanks! on that advice, i found that this works even if you do have images:

table.ecwid-productBrowser-subcategories-mainTable {
display: none
}

Although now I wonder if there is a way to make this apply for some categories and not others..

So you want not to show the icon and the blank space where the icon should be for some categories. Right?
In this case I think you can use the code above. Just insert it and remove icons from the necessary categories.

using that code, it still displays the subcategory name, just without a picture, like this:

Sorry, but I'm confused : -)
If you don't want to show the subcategories under certain categories, just remove them.

sorry - i meant i want to have the subcategories appear in my vertical navigation bar, but not also as icons, because it's redundant. SO, when i click on my category, i want to see the subcategories listed in the navigation column, but i just want to see the list of all products to sort through in the product browser.

How would you remove the root category images?
