I've tried repeatedly to set up my Ecwid store but the storefront wouldn't show up on my site when I tried to place a test order. It was only after activating a Woocommerce plug-in at the same time that the Ecwid storefront would show and I was able to place a test order. When I deactivated Woocommerce, my Ecwid store disappeared again. What's going on? I am not a programmer or developer and have rudimentary knowledge but is seems like Ecwid is using something from Woocommerce to show the store. Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot for your question!

Ecwid is an independent e-commerce solution which is not connected to Woocommerce in any way. Please check your starter site to see that the storefront loads fine without any connection to Woocommerce.

Please make sure you have installed and activated the Ecwid Shopping Cart plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/ecwid-shopping-cart/). Then please deactivate the Woocommerce plugin. You can find more information about adding Ecwid to a Wordpress site in our article.

You can also transfer all your products from Woocommerce shop to your Ecwid shop, using the Import/Export tool. Ecwid uses CSV files in this operation, so you can export your products from Woocommerce with the help of Woocommerce CSV exporter, and then import them to Ecwid.

Please also provide us with a link to your shop, which uses Woocommerce, so that we could check it for you.
