Many if not most restaurants and pub/bars need to quickly enable (pre-arrival) Table Bookings. We're using ecwid's "Instant Site".

We're planning to make it a requirement to book an available table AND to buy (order/pay) for a minimum amount of food and drink.

Has anyone else developed a similar feature or deployment? Or simply come up with a workaround making clever use of existing Instant Sites/CSS/Script features ???

Really welcome your thoughts and ideas - others most be chasing similar challenges - and many venues are moving to other applications that target these features.

As a possible workround ... I would like to check the user has "ordered" ONE item from a specific product CATEGORY.

I believe that may be possible through the API (am using CUSTOM APP).
Can you point me in right direction? Anyone got thoughts or feedback ??
