Preventing category names being used in store search results

As a simple example of the problem, if I name a shop category "Fruit & Vegetables", and add some fruits and vegetables to it, then the vegetables are going to incorrectly show up if I search for "fruit" because it's in the category name. The same is true if I use that term in the category description.

Is there a way of preventing this, other than renaming the category to remove possibly conflicting search terms? Unfortunately the latter results in pretty much uselessly vague category descriptions, i.e. you can't mention any of the types of products that might appear in that category for fear of it messing up product search results.

Thanks!
