Customer Login Issues - they got confused about what WordPress reply to blog is vs. store's login

Can we remove the WordPress "you must sign in to post a reply" underneath our stores that are embedded in WordPress blogs? http://southholstonriverflyshop.com/reports/store/

We had a customer today who tried to use it as if he were signing into the actual shopping cart and sent us an email that he couldn't login to our store and never got his password and that his username was already used a second time he tried to login. This all lead to us knowing, Ecwid doesn't send passwords, there is no username but only an email address that's used by Ecwid so he must be logging into our store from external stores we posted on WordPress or Facebook. Sure enough he tried to log into WordPress using the reply to blog area and thought that was somehow connected to our shopping cart.

This has caused a frenzy with my client actually buying stuff in their OWN!! carts to make sure it works. I'm their webmaster. Needless to say, they'll probably want the cart on WordPress to be taken down, but that's not in their best interest.

Getting Ecwid to somehow give us coding or tell us how to fix this issue would be in their best interest.

Thanks
Tina, webmaster

p.s. How do I get rid of the ugly square box lines around the store on the blog?

It's the discussion module of the Wordpress itself, not something inside Ecwid. Disable the discussion module either altogether for the whole site or for that page alone: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enab...able-comments/

Hi,

The exact instructions on how to disable or enable comments on your WP site either for the entire site or for a particular page are given here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/enab...able-comments/

They work for any page regardless of whether it is an Ecwid store or not. The discussion/comment settings do not anyhow depend on Ecwid plugin settings.

In your case, you can also either disable comments for your site at whole (WP admin -> Settings -> Discussion) or disable them for your store page. For the latter, you should enable the discussion module screen on the page so that the discussion settings will be shown below the page text and then disable comments there. Screenshot:
