Duplicating Product Database to another Account


Hello there,

I am looking to set up a new storefront managed by another user however would like to retain the same product database. Would it be possible to duplicate my existing account and product database, pricing etc. to the second account (upgraded to silver status)?

Please let me know if possible and how to proceed with this.

If you need to create a separate Ecwid store with the same set of products, you can export them from the current store and import them to the new one. However I should say that far not all the product settings can be exported and imported - much data should be added to the new store manually, including image galleries, product options and their variations, related products, etc.

If you need an independent store with exactly the same products and all their properties as in you current store, but do not want to transfer the data from the existing store to the new one yourself, you can use a special service of Qualiteam company (sales@qtmsoft.com) to have the products copied.

Hi Kess and thank you for the reply.

I've checked through my options within our account but I do not see any option to Export my existing products from my current store to be able to import them into the new account. Should I proceed with registering the new account first and then contacting Ecwid for further assistance with this?

If you would be able to instruct and walk me through this, it would be very much appreciated.

To export te products, please log in to your Ecwid control panel -> Catalog -> Products -> scroll down to the bottom of the products list and you will see "Export All Found" and "Export All" buttons there. As a result of the export you will get a CSV file with your products in it.

To import the products to the new store you should have the new store, i.e. the new Ecwid acount should be registered. As soon as it is done, you should log in to the new store control panel -> Catalog -> Products -> click "Import products" button above the products list. Click it and import the CSV file you've exported from your old store.
