Membership Website

Can I use ecwid for a membership website? Pay to gain access to a restricted area.

Can you provide some more details? Should each member have an unque login/password?

Yes, each member would need a unique login/password.

There is no built-in feature to implement it currently, but some workarounds are possible. For example:

1. Customer places an order.
2. Ecwid sends a callback about the new order to your special script .
3. You script generates a new login/password and sends them to the customer.

However, this workaround will require developing of special JS and PHP scripts.

Default Wordpress membership site + ECWID

I plan to integrate ECWID with MemberWing membership plugin soon.

You'll have ability to sell access to articles/pages individually, by subscription, have unlimited membership levels and have any product purchased from your ECWID catalog to give customer access to premium content as well.

Additionally it will automatically integrate with Aweber and Mailchimp autoresponders (already does), including free subscribers.

PS: Sorry i need ECWID API's to support postback for that. I thought it already in place.
Will wait till it will be ready from ECWID side and then will deliver full blown membership site solution.

I do this already when selling credits for a service I run.

It is quite complex to setup, but I am waiting for the webhook and API callback to make it easy to set up.

When the webhook and/or API call back arrive, then Ecwid really will come into its own.

Hi Marcus,
I've done integration between ECWID and MemberWing's affiliate tracking functions:
http://www.memberwing.com/memberwing...g-integration/

But haven't had a chance to get to full integration between ECWID and membership management functions of Wordpress.
(If someone would sponsor that - it may accelerate process, wink )
