invoice attachment as pdf

Hello,

When an order is made in the shop the customer receives an email with the invoice as an html attachment. I noticed that most of the times this works fine, but in thunderbird per default HTML attachments are shown inside the mail. And the invoice overlaps with the content of the email.

Is there a way to send the invoice as a pdf ?

OR change someting to the HTML of the email sent out so that it does not overlap?

Thanks,
Thomas

Hi! Cooper from the Ecwid team here.

Yes, this is a known issue: different email client software process the HTML messages in their own ways. In case of the Thunderbird, looks like this is caused by the option "Display Attachments Inline". See it on the screenshot: http://take.ms/7Xfwg
So simply disable that option.

As for the invoices in PDF, we have it in the feature request list, but I can't give you any ETA for its implementation. If you want, I can add your email to the feature request list so that we let you know when this feature is ready.

Hello Cooper,
Thanks for the reply.
I know, only few people use Thunderbird and so probably this is not a major issue for you. But this would mean that the order confirmation should altrady include a note explaining what to do if the eMail does not show correctly. Not the best user experience in my opinion...
Yes, please add me to the feature request list.

Hi there,

This is Wendy from Ecwid Customer Care Team.

My apologies for keeping you waiting, yet we have good news. In the recent update our team has released an improvement you asked a while ago — a feature allowing to automatically send PDF invoices to e-mail.

So, I wanted to let you know: now the PDF version of the invoice is attached to the Order Confirmation email notification sent to your customers.

Have a wonderful day!
