Shopping basket link to full page not popover

Is there a way to have the mini-cart ALWAYS link to a true page rather than create a popover?

Currently I have a mini-basket always visible whether you are on a product page or not. If your basket is empty, or if you are not on a product page, clicking the mini basket brings up the basket in a popover, whereas if you are on a product page you are taken to a full www.storeaddress/store/#!/~/cart page.

There are two problems with this - firstly, if you click 'Continue Shopping' on the popover Ecwid generates a store within the popover, rather than taking you to the appropriate full page, which looks messy.

Secondly the popover is not responsive and the close button is off the screen on a mobile.

Iain hi,

Let me kindly bring you into details.

If one wishes to sell only one or a few items with Ecwid, then it is possible to insert them directly into your website page instead of embedding the whole product catalog.

In this case you may simply wish to copy product code which can be obtained from your Ecwid Control Panel
(Catalog -> Products -> Embed Product), and then insert it to your website page source:

And in this case the site doesn’t contain the product browser widget (which includes all store pages like cart, checkout, etc).

Therefore the checkout pages are in that popup: when you click on the bag, you see the popup where you continue buying.

According to that you may wish to try out the following workaround:

you should install the product browser widget (anywhere on your site, this page may not be visible to your customers), and insert ecwid_ProductBrowserURL option on the page where you have the product embedded.

If it’s set up, Ecwid will be operating as follows:

you click ‘add to bag’, open the bag and get redirected to the page with checkout.

No popups.

The solution is described in this article: http://help.ecwid.com/customer/portal/articles/1113341

Alternatively, if you’re selling a bunch of items with Ecwid, I recommend you may try to install the product browser widget instead of the embed product code.

You will find the widget code in your Ecwid control panel, at Dashboard.

Besides, Ecwid’s product browser widget supports responsive design.

It means that your store pages should fit to your device screen automatically, but if not - feel free to report us of that here and send the link to your site with Ecwid.

Please let me know your ideas on the written above and if it helped to resolve the issue.
