Framing options for photographer site

Hi

We are setting up a shopping cart for a fine art photographer site. Is there an option to show different frames and mounts around the images and add these additional prices to the cart?

We were hoping there was some addon we could purchase to allow us to do this.

We would alo appreciate any links to photography sites that are using ecwid really well.

Thank you.

Tina

Yes, it is possible. You should use the "product options" feature: http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/15853269/...our%20products

Thanks for your reply. What we were really looking for was Picture framing visualization software for integration into Ecwid.

We were looking for something similar to the "frame it" option at www. art.com, although we don't need as may options. Does anyone know of such software?

I see two possible solutions:

1. Use the "Product Variations" feature and assign different images to different options:
http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/40532454/...20Combinations It will be necessary to create a separate image for each option/frame.

2. Use our JavaScript API to add frames to images on the fly: http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/41188517/JavaScript%20API

HI,
I'm also looking for something like this.
Ideally I'd like something like this

Is it possible to add frames (or even a white boarder & brack outer boarder) to all images automatically?
@Tina- do you mind sharing your website url?
I also have a photography webiste- http://www.photoblog.ie
Thanks,
Patrick.

You can add a double border to the thumbnails on the product browser page by adding the following code to your Ecwid CSS theme:

Code:
div.ecwid-productBrowser-productsGrid-productTopFragment img {
  padding: 24px;
  border: 8px solid #000000 !important;
  background-color: #FFFFFF !important;
}

The code I suggested above will actually add the borders to your product images in the products overview page. Have you already tried it?

Please, add the following code to you Ecwid CSS theme to add borders on the product pages as well:

Code:
div.ecwid-productBrowser-details-thumbnail img {
  padding:24px;
  border:8px solid #000000;
  background-color:#FFFFFF;
}
Note that you can change pixel size of the borders and the paddings as well as the colour values if needed.

HI,
Thanks again for the quick reply. I've implemented all you've suggested. It works if I view
1. any category e.g. http://www.photoblog.ie/buy-print/#!...=0&sort=normal
2. Individual product page e.g.

But not on my storefront- http://www.photoblog.ie/buy-print/

Thanks again,
Pa.

Hello,

Thank you for clearing it up for me. The code you need for the storefront is as follows:

Code:
table.ecwid-productBrowser-subcategories-mainTable div img {
padding: 24px;
border: 8px solid #000000 !important;
background-color: #FFFFFF;
}
