Embed Ecwid Inside Wordpress Template

I would like my client to be able to edit the page content for their store without worrying about deleting the Ecwid code in the editor. So I've been trying to add the code to a template file but I am not getting it to work properly. How would I go about accomplishing this?

You should create a copy of the "page.php" file of your WordPress theme. Copy it to the "page-ID.php" file, where ID must be the actual ID of the "Store" WordPress page. Then add the Ecwid code to this new file.

Thank you for your help,

I understand how to create and modify templates but I'm not sure what ecwid code to add to the new template. When I add the snippet from the editor nothing happens. Is this correct or should I be adding different code to the template?
