Hi Cynthia,

I am very sorry for your frustration. I do understand that it's more than weary, when you have to face a problem over and over again, and explain it.

I am more than willing to help you out. I have loaded your website in FireFox browser on my Windows desktop. Here's a screencast of my actions: http://take.ms/H4RqB

I have added a couple of products to bag, cleared the bag, added one more and proceeded to PayPal. I was not able to replicate the issue with green Checkout button, that is displayed instead of PayPal Express Checkout button.

Have you tried to clear the cache and cookies in your browser? Please, do and open your store to check, whether you see PayPal Express Checkout button.

Have you tried to open the store page in another browser on your device?

If you still see the green Checkout one, please open the page http://www.ecwid.com/internet and make a screenshot of all browser details, that it detects.

We will be investigating the issue further to make sure, that PayPal Express Checkout loads for you successfully.

I am really sorry, that you have to go through the tests and explanations all over again, but this is the only way we can determine the reason of the problem remotely and fix it. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

As I mentioned previously, it happens on other devices and other computers, not just mine. I have sent screenshots with proof. This event is random, as I mentioned it doesn't happen every time, just often; however, it should not happen at all. I was told in an email that the problem was found and fixed. So what was the problem? No one said. It isn't fixed. There should be NO fill in form, with my option in control panel.

Here are links to clicks I have just made with the same results.

This is still a problem, and it has gotten worse. I don't see ANY paypal buttons anymore.
Getting impatient.....

Hey Cynthia,

I'm sorry to hear that the PayPal Express Checkout button keeps disappearing in your store.

I've just DM'ed the developer who'd been fixing the issue and he'll look into this ASAP.

As may you remember, when the yellow PayPal Express button disappeared from the shopping bag, another, the green Checkout button appeared instead and you were able to place an order using PayPal Express option on the "Payment Details" page. That's why after reading your message I've been worried that there may be a new issue. Below I explain what I've checked and found.

First, I've checked your Starter Site (what it is) and been able to choose PayPal Express on the "Payment Details" page (screenshot). It works as it worked before.

Second, I've checked your website and noticed that the block with payment options has disappeared (screenshot). This is something new.

Third, it was obvious for me that I need to look for some code on your website's page that hides the block with payment options. And I've found it. There's a couple of CSS rules in your website's CSS that do that thing (screenshot):

Code:
.ecwid-Checkout-blockTitle {
display: none;
}
.ecwid-PaymentMethodsBlock {
display: none;
}
Once you remove the above code, you'll be able to choose PayPal Express as a payment method at checkout.

As for the issue with yellow PayPal Express button, we'll keep you posted on the matter.

Thanks for your understanding and continued patience!

The code was added at the suggestion of a ecwid agent. I removed them both and there was no change after clearing cache and cookies. I then added back the "checkout block title display", and nothing changed. Yes, I cleared cache, etc. Here's an interesting fact: When the fill-in form comes up after having clicked "checkout", if you leave the fill in from (back button on browser) and return to products, then click shopping bag, the paypal button comes up. There's a glitch somewhere, and I wish it could be found. Could you click "inspect the element" on a page that shows the fill in form? That green checkout button should not be showing at all.

I've checked your message history, both forum and email, and couldn't find this suggestion, unfortunately. Can I please have a quote from that agent's message? Or a link to the forum post.

I've checked your website and see that you've removed the CSS code I've mentioned. Now your customers will be able to place an order with PayPal Express if they face the issue with the green Checkout button (screenshot). I understand that it's not a perfect solution, but it'll work as a temporary workaround till we fix the problem completely.

The fix for the issue is ready and, at the moment, our QA-team is testing it.

I'll let you know additionally once it's released.

It was from a lengthy chat session. I do not have a copy of that.

The screenshot you provided is not what I see upon trying to purchase. First it goes to this screen: http://take.ms/ahHlT then this one: http://take.ms/whNZF I have never had your screen to show up.

If you look at my history, you will see that this issue has been going on for over a month.

My screenshot is from the next checkout screen—"Payment Details". To see that screen, you should fill in the shipping details first.

Hi Cynthia,

I just wanted to let you know that we've released a fix for the issue with PayPal Express button and it shouldn't be replaced by the regular checkout button anymore.

Once again, we apologise for all the trouble caused by this problem!

Let me know if you have any further questions.
