PayPal

Hmm..would any of those solutions address my issues with paypal? The credit card checkout works fine and thats through paypal and integrated within the site. The paypal checkout redirects to that same error page. I wouldnt mind taking just credit cards but when using paypal payments advanced, paypal express is automatically enabled. I dont want to habe to revert back to paypal payments standard where everything is sent off of my site. Thanks for your time on this! Paypal is definitely the major concern. As of now, I cant even take orders.

Those solutions allow overcome the issue with using Ecwid URLs in Ning. They don not have anything to do with PayPal.

Can you please further explain what troubles do you have with PayPal now? I've checked it on your site - both Express Checkout and the PayPal Advanced work fine as far as I can see: http://d.pr/i/6y7C .

Please let us know what exactly you think currently prevents your customers from placing orders.

Can you place a test order? It won't let me use my PayPal account to do so...

Thank you for the screenshot.

Please specify at what step of checkout you see that. In other words, is there a step-by-step instruction on how to reproduce the issue?

Thank you.

I had to disable checking out via PayPal but the regular credit card checkout has always worked. Now, since I disabled PayPal, it's just PayPal express that's not working. If you place a test order with PayPal express, that's the error you see. If you can't figure out what's wrong, can I just shut off PayPal Express? It won't let me right now because I have PayPal Payments Advanced.

I don't mind not having the checkout via PayPal functionality for whatever reason but it's strange because the credit card checkout works fine and PayPal is my processor. So, it processes credit cards when inputted manually, but not when someone tried to pay directly using their PayPal account. Again, I disabled PayPal payments within the processor when you go to check out normally (using the blue button), but the PayPal Express button still isn't working.

Sorry, the issue is still unclear for me. You said the PayPal Express button still wasn't working - what exactly doesn't work? How can I see that?

Here is the tests I did:
1) Checkout with PayPal using the Advanced option:
- Payment details step in your store: http://d.pr/i/f4kk
- Submit your order step in your store: http://d.pr/i/MOxD
- I clicked 'Checkout with PayPal' and was redirected to PayPal site: http://d.pr/i/ADne

2) Express checkout:
- The cart page in your store: http://d.pr/i/1Jmq
- I clicked 'Checkout with PayPal' and was redirected to PayPal: http://d.pr/i/yluk

Please specify what I should do in order to locate the error you reported.

No problems up to that point...it's when you actually submit the order using a PayPal account that it messes up and redirects to the error page.

This is costing me tons of money :/

Justin,

Sorry for the delay. This PayPal issue confused me a bit because I thought it is not related to the URL transform problems I explained previously in this tread. But, in fact, it appears to be exactly the same issue.

The thing is both credit card and PyaPal account options work fine but when using the latter, your customers are redirected back to your site (after payment) - and that is where the URL problem appears again. They are redirected to the Ecwid internal 'Thank you for your order' page but the abovementioned Javascript code on your site transforms the URL (and breaks it) which results in the 'Page not found' error.

Please find the details in this forums post:
