i would love to get this running on my site but i set up my ecwid store via wix and apparently i have to contact developer direct to install it but i have tried twice with no respose so far

this is what i got from wix tech support
"As your account was registered with our partner Wix, I'm afraid it's not possible to change it to a direct Ecwid plan.

Note, the Currency Converter app is still available for you, you just need to get in touch with this app's developers at contact@simcase.ru and they will be able to install this app to your Ecwid store on Wix"

I have a US store using US dollars. I want to start selling in Canada. Is ther a way to input prices in Canadian dollars which may not relate directly to the US dollar price. In other words some items will have higher prices for a Canadian than the US dollar converted price, while some will be lower.

The Currency Converter app converts prices automatically. There is no built-in feature that allows you to set different conversion rate to different products.

However, it might be possible to implement this in your store by a custom application based on our API — https://developers.ecwid.com/api-documentation

This option requires programming skills so you may think about hiring a 3rd-party developer. Also, such an app can be developed by our Customization Team. Let us know if you are interested in this option — and they'll contact you to discuss the details. Or you can contact them and request a quote yourself.

still not working. it was working while I was on trial version, now it does not work and I've been charged by ecwid twice por installing and unistalling the app. but still no dice.

Hi!

I've checked your store and see that the app doesn't display there indeed. I've inspected your store and don't see there anything that would prevent the app from displaying.

'Currency converter' app is developed by a third-party company called 'Simcase'. I've emailed them about your issue so that they could check it further.

I've been charged by ecwid twice por installing and unistalling the app. but still no dice.

When you uninstall the app, the subscription for the app stops immediately. Thus, when you install the app back, your subscription is not prolongated automatically. You should upgrade anew.

I'll post an update here when I hear back from the Currency Converter app developers. Or probably they will come to this thread and answer here. Stay tuned for updates!
