Add to Cart button text is overshadowed by Add To Bag button text

Hi,

I don't know how to add the URL for attachments, pictures and screenshots so here it is in words.

When I add the product widget to my currently being built website the Add To Cart text is covered over by the Add To Bag text. So there is typing over typing. How can I delete one of the texts?

Thanking you in anticipation of your response.

Where can we actually see that?

Hello!

I’ve looked through your website (http://www.blackdragonseats.com.au , is this the one?), and I’m afraid I couldn’t find Ecwid shop anywhere in it. Neither could I recreate the issue on your StarterSite here http://store5552185.ecwid.com/ Looks like everything’s in order there.

So in this case, I can only make guesses, and to be able to offer further troubleshooting I’m going to need at least the URL of your website’s page containing Ecwid store. You don’t have to add it as an “attachment” - just copy the address from your browser’s address bar and paste it in your message.

Still, this article on customizing “add to bag” button might be useful:

Here is a link to the site. It is built on the Duda platform.

I am also having the same issue with another site also built in Duda.

http://www.oknoworries.com.au/remote...s_monitoring_4

I am not sure if the issue started after Duda started using ECWID as their shopping cart option but I do know you cannot have an instance of both on the same site or you will have to rebuild the site.

I can see there an Ecwid button with a text in the image and a text added via :after CSS rule. It is in the stylesheet of the site, so whoever designed that site did it.

Hello!

Thank you for the link, I see the issue now.
In this case the issue is caused by the fact, that when Duda adopted Ecwid as their shopping cart solution, they’ve altered its CSS to suit their design better, and really done a huge and great work there.
Still, in practical terms here it means that on both pages you’ve provided link to, Duda CSS meets Ecwid default CSS (since single product widget was taken from us), thus resulting in overshadowing of “Add to bag” button, since in Duda this button looks a bit different.

To fix this, I can actually suggest two different approaches. Since you’ve mentioned you wouldn’t want to switch to Ecwid embedded with them, and continue using stores created with us, you can make “Add to cart” text disappear.
To do that, just add the following CSS rule to the CSS themes of both stores:

Code:
div.ecwid-AddToBagButton:after {
content: " " !important;
}
Go to your Ecwid control panel > System settings > Design, where you can either create new CSS theme (or modify an existing custom theme, if you are using one), and paste the code there. Now just save the changes and watch the result.

Another solution, more obvious, that might suit someone else is to just switch to their shopping cart, and modify it to your liking. And while Duda doesn’t officially support “single product widget”, that is placed on both websites, it’s still possible to achieve similar looks by means of common product browser.
