How can I add font examples

We are going to sell a personalized product with four choices of fonts. We want to show the customer examples of all of the fonts. Preferably, it would be in the product options area. Our second choice would in the product description area. Is there a way we can add font examples?

Thanks.

Hi Griff,

Thanks for contacting us.

As I understand, you would like to display the fonts so that the customer could see what the final result will look like. So, it won't work for you if you just write the names of fonts, right?

Basically, you can add such choices using product options. Here is how to create them: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/207099959

In your case product variations will work best. You will need to create the variations with each font and upload the image for each font. Thus, when a customer clicks on the font option, the product image will update. See how to create variations here: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/207100299 Product variations are available on the Business page and higher. To upgrade the account, click on 'Upgrade' button in the right upper corner of the control panel.

If you have any questions left, feel free to write back. We are glad to help.

Daria - thank you for your reply. That works.

Another questions about options. Let's say we sell 3 sizes of an item, Small - Medium & Large. And we offer a Small - Medium & Large base for each one as an option. If they choose a medium size product we would like to the only base option to be medium. We want to avoid the customer buying the wrong size base with their product. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

Griff,

Glad to hear it works for you!

Now to your second question. Am I right that you want certain options to go together, without the ability to buy another set of options? Like customers can select only option '1' with option 'A' and they can't select option '2' to go with the option 'A'?

If so, you can set it up with product variations too. You will need to create variations for all the possible variations and mark the unavailable variations as out of stock. Then customers won't be able to buy the wrong variation of options.

Another way is to make the options dependable. For example, when you select option 'A', options '2' and '3' will hide automatically and only option '1' will display. That can be achieved with a custom script. To develop such script, you should possess advanced programming knowledge and skills. If you need help, you can send a request to our Customisation team who do such work on a paid basis, here is the link to the form where you can send a request: https://ecwidcom.typeform.com/to/vIlijv

Let us know if you get any further questions.
