How to include the "instructions for customer" text in the "Order is completed" notification message? please help!

Hi!
I'd like to know if there's a way to include the "instruction for customer" text in the "Order is completed" customer notification message.

For example, let's think the customer chooses to pay using bank transfer. In the "message for the client" window, I have written my bank account number, so when he chooses that payment method, the number and instructions appear.

But I would like those instructions to be mailed to the client as a reminder with the "Order is completed" notification message, too!

I've tried adding the %paymentMessage% tag to the "Order is completed" message, but it doesn't work.

Sorry for my confusing English!

Thanks so much!

1. We will investigate the issue with the %paymentMessage% tag.

2. As a workaround, please add the necessary instruction to the notification in plain text.

Some clarifications.

%paymentMessage% tag is used to display the service message from payment gateways, like "transaction was failed" or "transaction was successful", if gateway returns it.

How do I send the "order is completed" e-mail? The egoods e-mail goes out when a customer orders a download, but they never receive the "order is completed" e-mail or any type of receipt e-mail. Any help would be appreciated!

As I understand, this issue has already been solved in a different thread. Am I right?

Yes! Thank you! Now just trying to figure out how to get all of the products to show up in the e-mails and also how to get the tax & shipping to display in the authorize.net payment form. Authorize.net says they are not receiving this information from Ecwid.

I've tried the coding you provided for all items to list in the e-mail, but still only one item shows. This is the code I am using:

START ITEM
Order Number: %orderNumber%
Order Date: %timestamp%
Product: %name%
Quantity: %quantity%
Price (each): %price%
Cost: %subtotal%
Shipping: %shipping%
TOTAL: %total%
END ITEM

... and this is what shows in the New Order message:

Order Number: 17
Order Date: Mar 19, 2010 11:08 AM EDT
Product: How to Kick the Sugar Habit (E-Book)
Quantity: 1
Price (each): $2.95
Cost: $16.55
Shipping: 0.0
TOTAL: 2.95

did you click save in the control panel after you made your changes?

Also, did you make the changes to both 'Order is paid' and 'New Order message' along with customer notifications? you are looking at the correct e-mail?

Hi Mike,

I did press "save" (always good to check!) and I do have the same code in both Order is Paid and New Order messages.

This is the code I am using:
START ITEM
Order Number: %orderNumber%
Order Date: %timestamp%
Product: %name%
Quantity: %quantity%
Price (each): %price%
Cost: %subtotal%
Shipping: %shipping%
TOTAL: %total%
END ITEM

BUT This is what comes up in the New Order e-mail:
Order Number: 18
Order Date: Mar 19, 2010 12:43 PM EDT
Product: Energy Edge Sports Strategy (E-Book)

Quantity: 1
Price (each): $2.95

Cost: $20.55

And this is what comes up in the Order is Paid e-mail:
Order Number: 18
Order Date: Mar 19, 2010 12:43 PM EDT
Product: Energy Edge Sports Strategy (E-Book)
Quantity: 1
Price (each): $2.95
Cost: $20.55
Shipping: 0.0
TOTAL: 2.95

I am using this code for the "Order is Completed" e-mail:
START ITEM
Order Number: %orderNumber%
Order Date: %timestamp%
Product: %name%
Quantity: %quantity%
Price (each): %price%

==== Order Totals ====

Items: %subtotal%
Shipping: %shipping%
Tax: %tax%
TOTAL: %total%

END ITEM

BUT This is what comes up in the "Order is Completed" e-mail:

==== Items ====

Order Number: 18
Order Date: Mar 19, 2010 12:43 PM EDT
Product: Energy Edge Sports Strategy (E-Book)
Quantity: 1
Price (each): $2.95

==== Order Totals ====

Items: $20.55
Shipping: 0.0
Tax: 0.19175
TOTAL: 2.95

It's very strange to me! Any help would be appreciated.

give this a shot...

do a select all on everything you have in the New Order notification in Ecwid... paste it into a text editor and back it up, then clear everything so it's empty in ecwid... and then copy this in and save it...

Code:
Order #%orderNumber% has been just created using payment method: %paymentMethod%

START SHIPPING
==== Shipping Details  ====

-- Ship to --

%shipping_name%
%shipping_street%
%shipping_city%, %shipping_stateOrProvinceName%, %shipping_postalCode%
%shipping_countryName%
Phone %shipping_phone%

-- Shipping method --

%shippingOption%

END SHIPPING
==== Items ====

START ITEM
%name%
SKU: %sku%
Weight: %weight%
%options%
Quantity: %quantity%
Price (each): %price%

END ITEM

==== Order Totals ====

Items: %subtotal%
Shipping: %shipping%

TOTAL: %total%

-- Payment method --

%paymentMethod%

-- Billing address --

%billing_name%
%billing_street%
%billing_city%, %billing_stateOrProvinceName%, %billing_postalCode%
%billing_countryName%
Phone %billing_phone%

----------------------------

START OFFICE
END OFFICE

Also, in your Order Completed notification you have 'END ITEM' after Order Totals... it should be before..

like this:

START ITEM
Order Number: %orderNumber%
Order Date: %timestamp%
Product: %name%
Quantity: %quantity%
Price (each): %price%

END ITEM
