Inventory tracking on product level by everyday

We are food supply which only selling seasonal food, what we need to have a stock tracking on the calender everyday by items.

Eg: Everyday will have limited stock to produce:
1. Fruit cake - 100 qty
2. Chocolate cake - 100 qty

Clients will chose the deliver date and the calender will show the qty balance.

Any other method to limited the delivery date?

Eg: we will only sell cookies before Christmas, therefore our kitchen will close 3 days before Christmas and calender will show not available on the date.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for choosing Ecwid!

Ecwid allows tracking in-stock products and it automatically reduces the amount of available products after each purchase. As I see, you want to set the amount of in-stock products specifically for each day. You can do it with the help of Product options and variations.

The general idea of how to do that is described in this post http://www.ecwid.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26347#2 In your case you should create only one option – “Date”.

Here is a detailed instruction for you:
1. Go to Ecwid Control panel > Catalog > Products > a product > Options.
2. Click New option. Define the Title of the option (e.g., Delivery date) and Input Type (e.g. Drop-down List).
3. Click New selection and specify selections (e.g., 04.18.2015; 04.19.2015...) Click Save.
4. Go to Variations tab and click New Combo. Choose a selection for the new option (e.g., the date 04.18.2015) and in the Stock control block click Manage http://take.ms/LVGxB Define the amount of the in-stock products for that specific day.
4. Click Ok. Create variations with different dates in the same way for other products.

In the storefront customers will see a drop-down list with a selection of dates. After they choose a date, they will see the quantity of available products for that day http://take.ms/cHdPP

As for those days when your kitchen will be closed, simply don’t create options with those dates. So, they will not be displayed in Dates drop-down list and customers will not be able to choose them.

Please, let us know how that works with you. If you get any other questions, feel free to write.
