require 2 of an item be bought before getting one at a discount?

I have a product I am selling-a pass-. We require 2 to be purchased before getting a third at a reduced price. Is there another way to accomplish this beside bulk purchase? I have the free store now.

If the bulk purchase is the only way, I need for 1-2 months. Would I have to upgrade to venture, and then cancel after that period?

Hello,
You are absolutely right, this feature to set up bulk prices (the more you buy, the less one item costs) is available in Business and higher plans.
Basically I’d suggest the following variants:
- discount prices - it means that the more the customer buys, the less he pays (you can find more information in this article: http://help.ecwid.com/customer/portal/articles/1171412
- product variations - using them you can set a discount for a variation of products ( here is an article about it: http://help.ecwid.com/customer/porta...uct-variations )

And, of course, if you need the changes just for a couple of months, you can switch your plan just for this period and then go back to the previous plan (you can do it in “My profile” > “Billing and Plans” )

If you’d like to learn more about what features are included in each plan, please check here: http://help.ecwid.com/customer/porta...ures-breakdown
