Payment status

Hello

Customers of our shop can only buy on account. The invoice is delivered with the goods. Now the problem is, that by finishing the order payment status is set on "awaiting payment" which is confusing for customers. They think they have to pay in advanced. How do I change "Payment status" to "on account" or something similar.

Thanks for your help.

Hello Sergio.

Thank you for contacting us.

I see that you want that when your customers finish lacing an order in your store, they see the payment status 'on account' instead of 'Awaiting payment' in your storefront.

In Ecwid you are able to change storefront labels using Ecwid translate tool.

So let's say we want to change the payment status label in your website where you added Ecwid integration code:
- Edit the source code of the page where you added Ecwid
- Add the following code right after Ecwid integration code:
Code:
<script>
ecwidMessages = {
"Messages.awaiting_payment":"On account"
}
</script>
And here's how it will show up in your storefront: http://take.ms/ev2eH
Please mind that if you use starter site as your main storefront, then unfortunately you will not be able to change labels there, so please add Ecwid to your website to make the changes in your storefront.
Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us.

Ecwid storefront is translated to more than 45 languages. You can see a full list of available languages in Ecwid Control Panel > System Settings > Languages. The translations are made with the help of this tool http://translate.ecwid.com/ where any registered user can contribute to Ecwid storefront translation. Also, there you can see the percentage next to each language icon which shows how many labels have been translated.

For example, Hungarian is translated only for 36%. So, “Awaiting Payment” and “Awaiting Processing” labels haven’t been translated either. We’ll greatly appreciate it if you contribute to Hungarian translation. You can add translations for the above metioned labels straight in our translation tool http://translate.ecwid.com/translate...46/en-hu#37754 ( “Awaiting Payment”) http://translate.ecwid.com/translate...46/en-hu#37755 (“Awaiting Processing”). These translations will be added to Ecwid in one of the near releases and will be available for you and all Ecwid users.

Another option is to add translations for your particular store in your Control Panel as Custom translation. Here you’ll need to use a short script. You can see the instructions on how to do that in our article http://help.ecwid.com/customer/porta...ngeortranslate or in the post above written by Vitaliy.

Write back if you get any questions.
