Since it's an e-goods order, there won't be a package. How do I keep that from happening again? As a customer, this would be very confusing. The order is paid. The order is likely already downloaded. Why get an email at all, especially about a non-existent package?
What can I do to fix this?
thanks

Hi,
As WoodYouLike has mentioned it, you can edit the order confirmation emails which are sent to your customers after they place an order in your store.
To edit the order confirmation email template, go to your Control panel > System settings > Mail > Order confirmation > click Edit. You can change the text of this email letter up to your liking. However, as far as I see, in your store you sell not only e-goods, but also products which require shipping. Order confirmation emails will be the same for all orders. Please, remember about that when you edit the text of the template.
Please, refer to this article for more details about mail notifications editing http://help.ecwid.com/customer/portal/articles/1777695
If you don’t want to send order confirmation emails to your customers at all, you can disable them. Go to your Control panel > System settings > Mail > Order confirmation > click the green switcher, please see the screenshot http://take.ms/E3Lrd
Feel free to contact us if you get any other questions about your Ecwid store.
