Sync w/ UPS Account

Hello,

Is there a way to sync Ecwid with our UPS account. The other shopping cart we're currently using allows us to determine the shipping cost based on weight and shipping address, print the shipping label, and then automatically bills our UPS account.

Are these features possible?

Hello,

Shipping rates are a key setting of online shops. Ecwid provides you with a flexible tools to have various types of shipping costs calculation. Please refer to this article to know more about shipping in Ecwid http://help.ecwid.com/customer/porta...61340-shipping

If you enable the UPS module, it will allow to calculate UPS shipping rates automatically in your store. So it will not be necessary to set up your shipping rules manually for each country or state. You just enable this module, enter your UPS account ID, enable the necessary UPS shipping methods in the Ecwid control panel and you’re all set.

When a customer opens your store and tries to purchase something, Ecwid will get actual UPS shipping rates from UPS servers and display them to a customer during checkout. Also there is information in your Ecwid Control Panel that the order was calculated with UPS shipping rates.

There are some third-party software solutions that can work as a bridge between Ecwid and shipping carriers. And these third party solutions can be integrated with Ecwid. We implemented an API, that allows to get information about orders: http://help.ecwid.com/customer/porta...es/1163906-api so now any program, app or service that prints labels can be integrated with Ecwid. For example, there is Atandra program lets transferring shipping information from Ecwid to shipping software such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager or Endicia DAZzle/Stamps.com for USPS, which in its turn provides the opportunity to print shipping label without re-keying any data. More info about it can be found here:
http://www.ecwid.com/apps/#accountin...inventory-apps

Unfortunately, Ecwid has no build-in functionality to print shipping labels and then bill your UPS account automatically at this moment. Please vote for this idea: http://ideas.ecwid.com/forums/22031-...ting?ref=title
As soon as it gets more votes, we will implement it.

If you have any questions - please feel free to ask.
