Question

To add a maximum order requirement per product would be great!


I have a sampling store where those products are cheaper than full products. So I wanted to set 'only 1 item per customer' how or is that possible at all?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

If I understand you right, you want to allow your customers to buy only one item of a product. There is a workaround of how you can achieve that. In short, you need to hide the Quantity field, so customers will not be able to select the amount and by default will be able to buy only one item. Here is a step by step guide:

1. Hide the Qty field in your store. Copy the code below and add it to Ecwid Control panel > Settings > Design > CSS Themes > your active CSS Theme:

div.ecwid-productBrowser-details-qtyPanel,
td.ecwid-productBrowser-cart-itemsTable-cell-qty,
td.ecwid-productBrowser-cart-itemsTable-headerCell-qty {
  display:none;
}
2. Hide "Add more" button so that customers couldn't add more items of the same product. Use the following code and add it to your Ecwid active CSS Theme.

Code:
button.ecwid-productBrowser-details-addMoreButton{
   display: none;
}
3. Save the changes.
