I love the new features - but I have a few issues! please help.
The main problems are with the bulk order price option.
1. size of qty box.
2. price update
3. volume costs per unit not total
4. combined total price

1. the qty box is not large enough for 4 figures or more (same for the basket), I run print store and my order qty can be in the thousands.
2. It doesn't update the price until in the basket, previously I used product options to allow the clients to select the qty required, however this meant our clients had to stick within our predefined qty options and sometimes we had too many to look sensible. We used drop downs and when you selected your qty the price was updated.
3. The updated version lets the user see the price breaks as a unit cost, can it be switched to show a total cost at each qty break? I realise the unit cost can be expanded with a click (nice), however they can't see the total for their required qty until they add it to their basket. Can the price update on the fly as the qty is entered?
4. If the same item is ordered more than once the basket recalculates based on total volume, this can create a problem for me - can we set selected products not to offer a combined total, I understand the benefit of this for most people, in fact for some of my digital products this is good for me too.

The width of Qty box can be customized with such rule added to your Ecwid CSS theme:

The exact number of pixels in the width statement may vary depending on the size you wish to get.

The price of the product currently is fixed at the base price set in the Ecwid control panel for that product, it does not change as the customer changes the quantity. We will discuss the possibilities to change that.

The bulk pricing is naturally including all items of this particular product when calculating the tiered pricing for it; this even includes the different selections of product options. I have noticed a few other issues which may work well for some scenarios but not mine, the main one is to have options add a fixed cost.
Some of my options used a fixed cost to my order line, now I am using the actual order qty it is adding a fixed cost to each unit. Would it be possible to overcome this?
The new system is better for me to be able to add % increases as I previously had no base value to add to but overall the upgrade is currently a backward step for me with these bugs.
I can of course revert to doing things the old way and not make use of the new bulk prices.
If I wanted to do this can you restore me to the state my store was in before the upgrade?

If you have a few options on your product and want them to add the tiered modifiers based on quantity to the tiered wholesale prices, you can set the product variations upon your options and set the tiered pricing upon those variations. Notice that this is not the tiered modifiers for options, but the tiered final prices with the given selection of options for each variation.

The product and settings restoration is possible with the request to the bugtracker. In your request you must include:

- your store ID

- the moment in time to which you would like to roll back (the backup snapshots are taken twice a day, so it it usually possible to go back a day, but not a few minutes, unfortunately).

- the set of entities in your store you want to restore (products, settings, orders). Most of the store owners usually take just products.

Thanks for the reply. There would be far too many variation options to make this work easily.
Really just want to add a fixed cost to the product regardless of qty ordered.
My products are print, so if you order 1000 or 5000 business cards I would still like to add an option for design at a fixed cost of £30.
To make variation adjustments for all products for all volumes is not practical.
Having a base brice to add to works for me when using % increases (wouldn't before upgrade) for example 10% extra to laminate the cards.

Any suggestions for fixed cost increases regardless of qty or should I just create a link to another product called design in the description?
If there was an easy way to cross sell that would work well.

I am now using the related products to try to cross sell the additional cost I need on some products.
Is there any method of forcing a different product into a basket when an option is selected?
For me this would be a design product if a user selects the option requesting us to design the print job for them.

It's very important feature. In fact it is one of the big set of features to make Ecwid compliant with German e-commerce laws. We will post a detailed description of these changes later in our blog.

Imagine that you sell bottled milk online. There are several bottles’ sizes (300 milliliters, 1 liter and 500 ml) provided by different manufacturers.

So you customers see a lot of prices for 300 ml bottles, for 500 ml bottles and other. They begin to calculate how much is 1 liter of one milk costs if the bottle is 300 ml, and how much is 1 liter of another milk costs. They try to compare different manufacturers prices, which is not that easy.

In additional to that, you get “Units in product”, which can used for providing additional information about your product like “pieces in pack”, “liters in bottle”, “grams in box”, etc.

Then go to Catalog > Product Types and fill “Units in product” and “Price per unit” fields and save

Unfortunately, there is no such an option yet, but we’ll think about it.

You can add this idea in our ideas base and we will implement it as soon as it gets enough votes.
