Connecting a Wix store

Hi,

I tried to add my ecwid store to my wix site. Upon doing so I opened the settings of the store but did not wish to create an Ecwid account at this time. Now when I try to connect my store I cannot find the appropriate tab "Connect your store".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Simon

Hi Simon,

This is Stacy from Ecwid Customer Care Team.

Thanks a lot for contacting us on this matter!

I'm so sorry you faced this! I'd be glad to help you rectify this.

I inspected our store database and found out that your account #10147220 was deleted. That's why you could not add it to your Wix site.

Thus, you should register the new account via Wix directly. We have the detailed step-by-step instruction how to do it here: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/...ix#Installation

I hope this helps. Feel free to get in touch with us again, in case further support is needed. Thanks!

Hi,

It’s Daria from Ecwid Customer Care team.

As I understand, you installed Ecwid store to your Wix website, using our plugin and the instructions from here: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/...ix#Installation

Two shopping carts are not connected to each other, they are just added to the same website. They are managed in different control panels and customers can place orders on two pages. That may be confusing for customers and for you as the store admin, so I would recommend you to keep only one shopping cart on the website. I'm afraid there is no tool to sync two shopping carts.

See instructions on how to set up Ecwid store in our Help Center here: https://support.ecwid.com

If you have any other questions, feel free to write back. We are always glad to help.

Hi Ricardo!

Thanks for your message!

Each of these site builders has different strengths, features, and benefits. We have a lot of merchants who are using Wix as well as WordPress for their Storefronts.

Wix is a popular free hosting and website builder. Its self-explanatory drag-n-drop editor and pre-designed templates allow creating attractive and fully functional websites in no time. If you are planning on selling products online, you can quickly and easily add Ecwid shopping cart to your Wix site. You can install Ecwid into your Wix site using our official application from Wix app market. Please, refer to our article about Wix — https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/...s/207808335-Wix

WordPress.org is a very popular and world-wide used content management system (CMS) that provides the simplest way to start a blog or website. You can quickly and easily add Ecwid store on any page of your site. Just install this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/ecwid-shopping-cart/ Please, check our article about WordPress — https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/...s-downloadable-

Also, you might find helpful our Overview of Popular Site Builders — https://www.ecwid.com/blog/5-popula...port-ecwid.html

Please, note that Ecwid does not impose any limitation on the number of places where you can embed your Store. You can use Ecwid storefront on numerous sites, blogs and social networks at the same time. All product settings, shipping and payment methods, orders are synced and managed from one control panel.

Hope this answers your question. If you are interested in anything else, please feel free to ask — we are always very glad to help!

Hi, I already have an online store and I am attempting to embed Ecwid on to my store although I am not quite sure where to embed it. Also, how does the product I already have on my store migrate to the Ecwid platform?

Please confirm.

Hi!

This is Wendy from Ecwid team. Thanks a lot for getting in touch with us and for your interest in Ecwid!

Ecwid is a service allowing to create an online store and add it to any website or social page (such as Facebook). If you have a website built on Wix, you can add your Ecwid store to your site using this instruction: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/...s/207808335-Wix

As I understand, you already have an online store. In general, Ecwid account can't be connected to another eCommerce solution - it simply doesn't make sense. If you'd like to use Ecwid as your eCommerce platform, you may want to migrate the whole store to Ecwid:

- transfer the products and settings to your Ecwid account;
- add Ecwid to your website (if you don't have a website yet, you can use Ecwid starter site as your main selling channel).

As an alternative, you can use your current shopping cart - you are free to choose any solution you want.

In order to upload the products to your Ecwid store, you are free to use Ecwid import tool. You will find the instruction and sample import file in this help article: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/...orting-products

You should transfer store settings to your Ecwid account manually.

I hope you will find this helpful.

If you have other concerns, please feel free to write me back and it will be my pleasure to assist you further. Have a wonderful day!
