I am using my 1and1 hosting. I am finding that my store will not load on android or IOS phones. iPads and Android based tablets do not have this issue. Can anyone shed some light on this issue for me please?

I am still seeing an issue. The store is still not populating on any of my phone devices. I have tried both 4G and Wifi connections. Is your connection HTTP or HTTPS when visiting the store?

And thank you for the prompt reply

Hello,

This is Reina from Ecwid Customer Care Team.

Let me please explain why your store is not displayed on the mobile devices.

Ecwid is designed to work on any platform and it's completely mobile friendly. Ecwid stores adapt to the different screen sizes and resolutions. So, there are no technical limitations from Ecwid side to work perfectly on any device.

However, there are technical limitations from the 1and1 sitebuilder. Ecwid can be added to the 1and1 websites with the help of application, but 1and1 doesn't allow the applications to be displayed on the mobile devices. This applies to all applications, not only Ecwid.

Thus, if you open your 1and1 website on a mobile device, you won’t be able to see an Ecwid store, as well as any other apps.

However, there is the workaround that allows making an Ecwid store on 1and1 website visible on the mobile devices. The following CSS code should be added to the store design theme:

Code:
@media screen and (max-device-width: 1024px) {
.mediumScreenDisabled {
display:block;
}
}

@media screen and (max-device-width: 568px) {
.smallScreenDisabled {
display:block;
}
}

If you haven't already created a custom CSS theme, you should create a new one and paste the code there. To create a new theme, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to your Ecwid Control Panel → Design.

2. Scroll down and in the "Customize the Look of Your Store" section click on the "Create Theme" button.

3. Click on the "Add New CSS Theme" button, name the new theme and paste the code there.

4. Set the Active status and save the changes.

If you have already created the custom CSS theme, paste the code into the theme under the other theme codes.

After the code is added to the store CSS theme, the store will be displayed on mobile devices.

I hope this information will help you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
