Why i dont use apos and third party plugins

Hi everyone
I wanted to use the example of the discontinued amazon product ads feed service, which, along with dozens of other third party plugins in ecwid, have been and gone..
i signed up with amazon ads for 500+ dollars and found out after payment that the feed didnt work.
I found a closed thread ablut this here
https://www.ecwid.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28976
The thread shows many dissatisfied customers, and underlines the fact that despite third party apps being the trend for ecommerce services to compete against each other by expanding functionality of the product (ecwid, shopify, big commerce etc) , through allowing third oarties to populate an app marketplace (like apple with appstore)
However, this opens the door to companies and product developers who may leave the product without updates, or even disappear completely from service...
I am seven hears witth ecwid now, and still havent been convinced to sign up for a single plugin service, exceot for two. 1. Appinc infpcorporated android and ios app service,. Took money for ios and google play, then didnt deliver the ios app., a month later he was gone from apps tab in ecwid cp
The second signup i did was e amazon oroduct ads, and that didnt work either, and is now deorecated..
i think its better to ignore the other services exoanding their apps, and concentrate on self made self developed extras in ecwid, because Ecwid team are reliable and efficient , and unlikely to go AWOL
But the third oary apos i see them come and go and come again.. absolutely not faith instilling.. scares me off completely.
I was just trying to show my friend who has just signed up with ecwid, how he can add his products to Amazon.. amd had to be embarrassed as i found the below forum post
