I know I can add the hozontal categories widget to my website, but that ends up having way too many categories running across the site. I really like how it shows up on the Starter Site in which Only the root categories appear and everything else appears in the drop down menus, so for me there are only 2 categories that appear, rather than a dozen or so when I use the widget on my site.

So I want this menu:

They created custom menu for the starter page.

You would basically have to copy what they did and make your own menu using the Product API to get the categories and setup the menu on your site.

I appreciate the help. I think that's beyond my skills, I was hoping for something easier. I'll suggest it as an idea.
