product browser widget - quantity box

I was trying to figure out some way to add a quantity box to a simple product widget. I'd like to have it next to the "add to bag" button so someone can select a quantity of a product and add that number to the bag.

From searching the forums I've found that this functionality does not exist. However, a workaround is mentioned using the Product Browser Widget. In this thread:

http://www.ecwid.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1548

A representative named Kess says "instead of the single product widget you can use the Product Browser widget. It will display the quantity box." I've added the Product Browser Widget but I can't seem to get any quantity boxes. The only place I see them is on the product pages.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for your help.

Quantity boxes are not available on the product list page or single product widget. In the thread you have found customer asks how to add qty to the single product widget, but as you know it is not possible, and therefore, he was offered to show product details page by default, which has needed field.

Product Browser is main Ecwid widget, which shows all store pages, including product details page. Using following code http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/23947713/...default#JScode you can change script behavior and show product details page when this script is loaded (with qty and add to bag button).

Thus, if you want to add a particular product on the separate site’s page you should:
1. Place Product Browser widget on this page.
2. Use JS code from this article is order to show products details page by default: http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/23947713/...default#JScode
3. Hide all excess elements using custom CSS theme.

If you have any questions, please, feel free to ask.

UPDATE: Single Product Widget in Ecwid has been improved.

All product fields including title, price and options are now automatically updated as you change the product in your Ecwid control panel. Also, single product widget now supports quantity field so your customer can add multiple items at once.

To access the new features, copy the new code from the 'HTML code' tab under product management page in Ecwid control panel and paste it to your site - new single product widget will appear there. Screenshot: http://take.ms/I2LgC
