Question: Multiple selection price calcuation and independent product categories on random pages

Hi there,

I'm using a wix website and have purchased premium version of the ecwid, right now im learning the program so far i liked.

I will have 2 questions that i must have in this program.

1st question;

Lets say we have 5 flight locations and their names are '' A, B, C, D, E '' A is the nearest location and E is the furthest. If a customer wants to buy a ticket from A, to B its 100 USD, A to C is 150 USD, A to E is 500 USD. but D to E is 150 USD. Due to customer's current location is unknown, i will need to create a multiple selection price calculation tool for my customers to select current location, select destination then the price must be calculated.

2nd question; There is only 1 main online store to be inserted on a wix website. That is limiting my actions on multiple pages.

For example i have few buttons that i created '' Direct flights, indirect flights, discounted flights, delayed flights, hotels '' on one of my pages. When i click on Direct flights button, i want the ecwid to view only Direct flights store and direct flights products. But it just shares the same main category with the other different product groups.
Awaiting your help on those matters.
Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

1. I see that you want to set a specific price for a single product, so when a customer selects a destination from A to R, the price needs to be $500, however when a customer selects a destination between two close locations, like B and C, then the price should be at minimum.

It is totally possible using product variations. First, you need to create 2 drop down or radio button product options: the 'From' location and 'To' location and specify all the locations that you need in those two options. After that you need to create a product variation for each variation of options and assign it a unique price.

Please follow these instructions to learn how to create product option
http://help.ecwid.com/customer/porta...toyourproducts

So after you create product option, you need to create and assign a price for a variation of those options. Please go to this page to find instructions: http://help.ecwid.com/customer/porta...ns#howtocreate

After you create these options and variations, your product will look like this: http://take.ms/NUgKy

2. If you want your buttons on Wix website to lead to a specific category, you can do that.
First, create a button for you category.
Then go to that category in your Ecwid store, so the link looks something like this:
Code:
http://example.com/test#!online-store/cpn4/!/Fruit/c/10074302/
Then copy that link to your clipboard and go to the page where your button is located.
Double click on that button and go to button settings.
Click on 'Link to' and select Web address
Add your link, just like on my screenshot: http://take.ms/XmOqW
Save the changes

So after you do all this, the button will lead to the category, that you specified in your link.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you.

Thanks alot Vitaly, i have fixed those.

I have another question.
Now i have viewed the solution for Creating Custom Sign-in button on my Website's main page.

It shows that;

. Use this custom CSS rule to remove the current "Sign in" link

div.ecwid-productBrowser-auth {
display: none;
}

2. Then add a custom sign in or 'My account' link to your site, it should point to http://PATH-TO-STORE#!/~/accountSettings (replace PATH-TO-STORE with the real URL of your Ecwid store)

For example: http://www.ecwid.com/demo-frontend.h...ccountSettings

I have removed the CSS code but couldn't add the new link to my button.

i have set my storefront url as:
http://gyazo.com/34c449c5fd2196350f6a1d2194ac8843

But when i save it and click my ecwid store it shows as; http://gyazo.com/2e41b5f715996898f91cd165678e8030

Even tho i have added this link '' http://www.rbgboost.net/online-store...ccountSettings '' to my button but it doesnt navigate to the Sign-in page.

Could you please let me know what am i doing wrong?

Thanks alot

Hi,

You can create a custom button that will lead users to the page, where they can register and sign it to their account in your Ecwid store on your website.

Let me explain this with an example
Let's say your Ecwid store page with your catalog is located here:
Code:
http://example.com/test#!online-store/cpn4
Then the link that you need it the following:
Code:
http://example.com/test#!online-store/cpn4/!/~/accountSettings
So after you get the correct link, you need to create a button and place it in your website.

In order to create that button you need to do the following:
- Go to Wix website editor > edit site
- Go to the page where you need to add this button
- Click Add > Buttons and menus > Button
- Give it a name 'My account' or something else you prefer
- Click on 'Link to' field and select 'Web address'
- Add that link that you created previously
- Select 'Open in the same window'
- Customise the look of your button if you need
- Save the changes

Thank you.

Thanks for all the answers and everything is going great.

Another question is, i want to change the layout of description and product image with the product options box.

As its seen on the picture, i want to move the Description image to the top, where the main product image is at the moment, and remove or move the image to the bottom of the page. Also Description image must be resized or fit to the space. Between the left corner of the page and the right product options box.

Awaiting assistance

Thanks alot

Hi,

Thank you for clear explanation.

You can do the following:
Change the width of you image in the description to fit the space between left border and the right product panel and remove the product image using CSS, and add it as an image after the first big image in the product description.

So first, you need to edit the width of the big image that is located in your product description. In order to do that, please go to Ecwid control panel > Catalog > Product > Description editor > Click on the image > Click on the image icon in the description toolbox > Specify the width like so: http://take.ms/p15gl

Then you need to add the following CSS code to hide the product image:
Code:
.ecwid-productBrowser-details-thumbnail {
    display:none;
}
Then you need to get a direct link to the product image (2) and add it after your image (1) in product description.

I checked your website and I see that you already moved the image from description to the top of the page.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Thank you.
