All I did was use "paint" to resize it down 50%, then I cropped the top button, since there are 2 buttons, one right above the other. ( I tried to first do it with both buttons, I thought maybe they were coded to look normal or like 1 when posted, but it still showed up with 2 buttons)

Anyway mine works fine?

Here is my resized add to bag button. Try it and see if it works. I colored in the corners black to match my site background. But you can easily make the corners white ,or whatever color your background is.

In order to avoid this behaviour when you change “Add to bag” button size you should change button height in you custom CSS theme. Please, add following code in the end of it:
Code:
div.ecwid-AddToBagButton-up,
div.ecwid-AddToBagButton-up-hovering,
div.ecwid-AddToBagButton-down,
div.ecwid-AddToBagButton-down-hovering {
           height: 20px; /*set height of your button here*/
}
You can change height value as needed.

Once you have set button height correctly, it won’t just on hover anymore.

I agree that changing the button sizes, colors and fonts should be easier. The provided buttons are gargantuan.

I have the same issue. I uploaded the revised button:

http://susandurkee.com/ecwid/add_to_bag2.png

I added this to the bottom of my custom css:

Code:
/* The "Add to bag" button in up state */
div.ecwid-AddToBagButton-up, div.ecwid-AddToBagButton-up-hovering {
    background: transparent url(http://susandurkee.com/ecwid/add_to_bag2.png) no-repeat top center !important;
}
/* The "Add to bag" button in down state */
div.ecwid-AddToBagButton-down, div.ecwid-AddToBagButton-down-hovering {
    background: transparent url(http://susandurkee.com/ecwid/add_to_bag2.png) no-repeat bottom center !important;
}
However, it is still displaying the same gargantuan button:

Hello,

I have checked your store and it seems that it shows new "Add to Bag" button properly. Could you confirm if the problem still exist and provide me with detail how it can be reproduced?

I look forward to your reply.
