Hi,

I am looking to have a free eproduct that can only be downloaded for 24 hours.

I know you can set this site-wide for the entire store but I only want to do it for one specific product.

Is this possible? If so, where would I find instructions (I have searched the forums but can't seem to find the answer for this question)

Thank you

Nevermind, I figured out a workaround to make it work for me.

Ecwid provides two ways to protect download links:
Link lifetime, in hours - how many hours the file can be downloaded by this link
Number of downloads - how many times it's allowed to download the file. By limiting the number of downloads, you'll be able to avoid the file sharing that you're concerned about.

These parameters are available for paid Ecwid plans, so you can set them up: in Ecwid control panel, System Settings -> General -> E-goods. These settings are applied globally for the whole store.

It would be great if you shared your solution here. Perhaps it could help us make Ecwid better.

Thank you in advance.

I went under Promotions > Discount Coupons
I created a new coupon
Applied Limits > Limit to Specific Product
Set it to 100% off
Set the Valid Time-frame for the beginning and end dates I wanted
Done > Easy
