[Resolved: USPS is down] Sorry, we do not ship to this location ERROR


Hi,

I'm having suddenly some issues with my shipping with the US destination where it's showing that it's not shipping to this location. I've never had any issues in the past with my current shipping options - I didn't change anything in my shipping options.
The only thing that I've updated in the system is my address under the "general" & "shipping --> origin address" (my address is still in NY). Everything remained the same and I've never had any issues with this shipping set up in the past (I've successfully shipped products with this exact shipping option in the US).
See screenshot attached. Could you please assist with this matter?

Same error message here and it was working fine yesterday and we've changed nothing... Possible ECWID or USPS error??

Our store was working fine for months and today all of a sudden we have this error popping up and no one can order. We haven't changed a thing in ECWID

ECWID or USPS glitch??

Is anyone else having this error today?

Default USPS Services Are Unavailable

Hello!

We are very sorry to inform you, USPS is having troubles at this moment. Please check the status of the service on this website: http://www.shippingapimonitor.com

Customers using USPS Services are unable to get the live rates.

Your customers receive an error ‘Sorry, we do not ship to this location’, or USPS shipping method is not offered on checkout.

Please note that your storefront is totally available, your customers are able to view products and add them to the shopping bag.

We suggest you using one of the following temporary workarounds to provide your customers correct shipping rates in the meantime:

- You can consider disabling USPS method temporarily
- If USPS is the only shipping method that you use in your Ecwid store, you can create custom table shipping method to ensure your customers will receive proper shipping rates.

Note: the issue on USPS servers does not anyhow affect Ecwid data, stores data (orders, products, customers etc) - all your data will be safe. The service interruption only affects carrier-calculated USPS shipping method.

Please, accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this problem.

We will be posting updates here.

That's not the only problem!
UPS and the zones are all F-ed up...
If you disable one shipping method, it effects another strangely...
Like, since USPS is down, it won't offer UPS as an alternative for some reason, but then if you disable USPS it will....

This sucks. I bought ecwid from my host (re-seller) and they aren't helping, and they call my plan 'professional' but then ecwid doesn't recognize it because it's not 'Business' so i have zero options. I just loose customers during a special I'm running.

Now customers are able to get the live rates from USPS servers.

What was the problem? It was very strange that I couldn't implement the work-around. while the USPS api was malfunctioning.

Hello,

Yes, the issue was on the side of USPS, sorry that you faced it.

Their API wend down for a couple of hours which is why the integration with all the e-commerce solutions using USPS broke for some time.

This outage was reflected in the ShipApiMonitor account at twitter, by the way: https://twitter.com/shipapimonitor/s...00067431931904

However they fixed the issue quickly and everything is working alright now.
