Hello Katarzyna,
Thank you for your question.
Could you please tell what definitely do you want to do?
Basically, Ecwid offers four main shipping methods types:
1. Real-time (or carrier-calculated) shipping rates.
2. Fixed Flat Rate: a fixed fee per order
3. Custom table: Various variations of your own rates based on customer destination, order subtotal, and items weight
4. Individual product shipping freight
You can find more details about these shipping methods and how to set them up in this article:

API is an interface used by an application to interact with other software. Ecwid supports 5 different APIs, that can be used to extend Ecwid, create modules and extensions for it and integrate it with different apps.
Please refer to this article for the details:

Currently, there is no ability to implement a custom carrier-calculated shipping method using API, unfortunately. And this feature is not planned to be added in near future.
If you need a shipping carrier that is not listed in Ecwid, please feel free to send an idea for this method to our ideas base:

For now you can configure a method emulating the rates of the carrier manually by creating the Custom rate table. In order to do it, please use the instructions from this article:

Please let me know if you have anymore questions. I'll be glad to help you.
