Shopping cart problems

Hi there Guys,

Can you please assist me? I am trying out Ecwid for my online shopping cart for a newly developed website of mine www.everythingbeautiful.co.za

I am a newbie and novice to this.

Currently I am using the free version (with limited products) to see if I want to upgrade as I intend on adding many more products.

But already I have a problem? When you go to the online store the cart already says 4 items in the trolly? And there are ticks next to items? Surely it should start at Zero items?

Is there a glitch in the system? Please can you help me?

Thanks so much

Hi Rachel,

Alexandra with Ecwid team here, thanks for contacting us!

I have tried to check your website via the link www.everythingbeautiful.co.za but unfortunately I got the following message:

Could you please check your server settings and make sure that the website is available for other visitors?

The thing is that Ecwid keeps the contents of the cart for 30 days. So for instance, one may visit your store, add a few items to the cart, and then leave the website without actually completing the purchase. The contents of the cart will be saved, so if one decides to come back, they will be able to place an order quicker. It was intended to make the checkout experience more comfortable for the customers.

Although, if you clear your browser's cache and cookies, the contents of the cart won't be kept any longer.

However, if my guess is incorrect or I got you wrong for some reason, please give me more details on the issue and let me take a look at your website. I'll inspect it further.

Thanks in advance!
